Synthodrone #901, also known as "Eric", was an advanced version of one of Dr. Drakken's synthodrones programmed to distract Kim Possible from his Little Diablo world conquest plan.

Physicality

Appearance

Eric was designed to appear as a handsome teenager with brown hair, brown eyes, and a very athletic build.

Personality

Unlike most synthodrones, which were emotionless, Eric was designed to act as an infiltrator. To this effect, he was the subject of Drakken's synthodrone personality and performance upgrades and was programmed to mimic a human near perfectly. In particular, he was programmed to woo and distract Kim from Drakken's plans. These traits make him a representation of an abusive boyfriend, both physically and emotionally, which would mark him as a sociopath if he were a real person.

Abilities

Like most synthodrones, Eric was strong and resilient, tough enough to survive having Kim leap off his face and Ron performing a backflip kick that twisted his head backward, two blows that would have been fatal to a regular human. However, like other synthodrones, he was highly vulnerable to piercing blows, a simple hole large enough to spill internal "syntho-goo" being his largest weakness, and all that was required to destroy him.

Eric was designed, in Drakken's words as a "made-to-order syntho-hottie", because of this it was able to win Kim's affection with stunning swiftness.

In addition to his standard synthodrone abilities, Eric can also apply a large electric shock to someone that he is in physical contact with. This ability seems to function similarly to a taser, but is capable of actually rendering its target unconscious.^[1]

Biography

Eric was designed and tasked with keeping Kim focused on him and the Prom during Dr. Drakken's plan to use the Little Diablos to take over the world.

Posing as a new student at Middleton High School it managed to keep her from recognizing Drakken's plot until Ron brought it to her attention and Wade verified it.

Because of this, Drakken arranged for Eric to be "kidnapped" by Shego so he could use it one more time against Kim. Thanks to the relationship between the two, Drakken was able to lure Kim into his trap. After Kim defeated Shego, Eric pretended to have escaped, only to knock Kim out with an electric taser built into him when she rushed to hug him, capturing her, thus revealing his true allegiance.

Eric was present for Kim and Ron's escape and entrance into the control room. In the ensuing battle, he dueled with Ron, gaining a reliable upper hand against him. However, he was destroyed in the battle's climax when Rufus bit a hole into his leg, draining his body of all his inner fluid and dropping the Electromagnetic Scrambler charge, which Kim had fired at Drakken's control tower, where it discharged.

What remained of Eric was presumably destroyed when the tower collapsed just a short time later.^[1]

Dr. Drakken is Eric's creator, and while talking to James and Ann Possible, he talks about Drakken as his father without naming him.

Since he is programmed by Dr. Drakken, he also functions as one of Shego's allies.

Eric was programmed to feign romantic interest in Kim.

Enemies

As one of Dr. Drakken's creations, his enemies are the same as Drakken. In particular, Eric was programmed to act as an infiltrator into Team Possible's life, Kim's in particular. He kept her distracted from realizing Drakken's plans and upon revealing his villainous role, he had no qualms defeating and capturing her.

Eric feigned politeness towards Ron but considered his "paranoia" crazy. Once Eric's villain identity role was established, he coldly called Ron a loser and made disparaging remarks about naked mole rats, which made him a particular enemy of Rufus who killed Eric in retaliation.^[1]

Eric rode a rather nice, street-legal motorcycle.

Clothing

In his casual wear, Eric mostly wore a blue shirt with green stripes, tan pants, and dark blue and gray sneakers. When riding his motorcycle, he wears a red helmet with a black visor, and a small white stripe is located down the middle of the helmet. He also wore a dark blue V-neck sweater with a white undershirt, gray pants, and black shoes. Additionally, he wore an olive green sweater when eating at Bueno Nacho with Kim and Ron.

For the prom, Eric wore a white tuxedo with a black bow tie, a light blue pocket handkerchief, along with black pants and black fancy shoes.

After his true colors were revealed when he electro-shocked Kim into unconsciousness, he wore the standard red and black Synthodrone suit.

Quotes

"This thing you do, the missions. How...I mean...it's just...what, kind of...?" - When asking Kim about her missions, a subtle foreshadowing of how he is not aware of Kim being a worldwide crimefighter despite the news reports mentioning Kim's heroics.

"It's just my dad, and he's always at work like right now. He's in the middle of some big-time project." - Another subtle hint to who Eric's "father" really is.

"Kim, what's going on?" - Eric being held "hostage".

"Wow. Didn't know you cared that much." -Eric meeting with Kim again at the Bueno Nacho Headquarters.

"Actually, here, I'm known as Synthodrone #901." - Eric revealing his true identity and colors.

"Nice try, loser. And by the way, a naked mole rat is not cool, it's gross." - When he insults Rufus, which later comes back to bite Eric both figuratively and literally.

"Oh no. NOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!" - Final lines, right after Rufus punctures his ankle killing him.

• There were several hints that Eric was working for Dr. Drakken.
  • He was shown to have impressive reflexes despite not being an athlete like Kim.
  • He drove a street bike that had a similar color scheme to that of a Synthodrone.
  • When James Possible asked Eric about his other family members, Eric mentioned his "dad" was a scientist working on a big project.
  • He "believed" that it was ridiculous that Dr. Drakken was plotting something evil.
  • Eric also angrily glares at Ron several times when Ron talks to Kim and Wade about the Lil' Diablo toys at the prom.
  • Dr. Drakken sent Shego to capture Eric, despite Kim never telling Dr. Drakken about her boyfriend.
  • Eric is not locked up by Shego, despite her apparently kidnapping him.
  • Dr. Drakken has a picture of Eric and Kim together.
  • He does not recognize Kim and her whole "saving the world" business but does know that Wade communicates with Kim on the Kimmunicator.
  • Shortly after Kim beats Shego, Eric casually arrives and remarks that he did not think that Kim cared about him as if he was a guest instead of a hostage.
  • His voice actor, Ricky Ullman, was placed under Drakken and Shego's voice actors (John DiMaggio and Nicole Sullivan, respectively) instead of Christy Carlson Romano, Will Friedle, Nancy Cartwright, Raven Symone, and Tahj Mowry the voices of Kim, Ron, Rufus, Monique, and Wade, respectively, in the opening of the film.
  • He leaked synthogoo after Rufus bit and defeated him.
  • Like any standard undercover operative, he pretended to be a good guy at first. A few hours later, during the climax, Eric revealed his true role before Kim Possible, Ron Stoppable, and Rufus defeated him as a team.
• His death was also foreshadowed early on when Rufus bit Eric on the foot for parking in Ron's spot, but failed as Eric was wearing shoes at the time.
• He is the first named character to officially die in the show.
  • Although he was never alive due to being a Synthodrone, he does count as a character who was killed off.
• He is often considered a foil to Yori. Both of them were considered false love interests for the main protagonists (Eric for Kim, Yori for Ron), and they cause jealousy and concern to arise (Ron becomes jealous when Eric and Kim start dating, while Kim becomes jealous when Yori is with Ron). However, Yori is a genuine friend of Kim and Ron, did have genuine feelings for Ron but later accepted Kim and Ron dating and is not evil even though Kim initially accused Yori of being affiliated with Monkey Fist. Eric, by contrast, is a foe to Kim and Ron; his feelings for Kim were fake, and he is affiliated with Drakken and Shego.
  • The episode, Gorilla Fist, which was released as a bonus episode on the So the Drama DVD, further highlights the difference between Yori and Eric.
