Athena is a Middleton High School freshman who is a new girl at school. She became Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable's best friend. They found her sitting against a wall crying. According to herself, she was having a rough day. Kim then decided to help Athena, and invited her to go with herself and Ron to Bueno Nacho. She was eventually revealed to be a cybertronic humanoid (android) created by Dr. Drakken.
Personality
At first, she is portrayed as a friendly and knowledgeable girl who appreciates Kim. She tries to stay focused on a mission and even attempts to be helpful but is shown to be clumsy. When Kim saw her again after being captured, however it turned out to be a façade. Athena was actually a villainous robot who trusted Drakken and Shego. Plus, she faked her friendship with Kim. Fortunately though, she was thankful that Kim saved her from being physically destroyed by Drakken's device and when the Possible family repaired and programmed her to be a hero, resulting in her turning into her good self.
Trivia
- Athena betrayed Kim and Ron but after they saved her, she saved them and they shortly became friends again.
- She is just like a Bebe, the robots that Dr. Drakken made to be perfect in the original animated continuity.
- She is also similar to Eric from The Original Canon Continuity. Both are androids created by Dr. Drakken with a human appearance with the sole purpose of infiltrating Kim's life. Unlike Eric, who has no redeeming change of character or remorse for his actions and destruction, Athena ends up turning a new leaf and becoming a genuine friend and teammate to Kim after being rebuilt by the Possibles. This might suggest that Athena was inspired by this character during the movie's production.
- While on a phone call, she is supposedly talking to her mom. However, Athena does not technically have a mother. Although, she could have been conversing with Shego, who, as Dr. Drakken's sidekick, could be considered a mother-figure of sorts to Athena.
- Athena is shown to be a quick learner due to her programming. She even admitted that she knows Kim's moves.
- Athena becomes student of the month because of her impressive abilities, which is shown on one of the school newspapers.
- Athena mentions that she can't eat food in the Kim Hushable episode "Child's Play".
